It is considered one of the best examples of the baroque style in the area. It was constructed in the 18th century according to classicist tenets (minimalism, elegance and slender proportions).
The layout consists of three naves and six side chapels. The transept is covered by a dome above richly decorated pendentives, with depictions of the virtues in plaster. The chapel of Santas Nunilo and Alodia, natives and patron saints of the area, is filled with ornamental motifs, using simple materials to achieve an imitation mottled marble finish.
A slender tower with four sections is erected at the base.
