The Vero is dotted with small chapels, the majority of which have simple architecture, in a popular style common to all the constructions. The quantity of chapels is an indication of the devotion evident in these locations. Noteworthy churches include the Virgen de la Sierra (Bárcabo), the churches of San Gregorio and El Pilar (Alquézar), los Santos Fabián and Sebastián (Radiquero), San Juan (Buera), San Macario (Pozán de Vero), San Fabián (Castillazuelo) and Virgen de Viña (Adahuesca).

An example of the cave chapels preserved in Upper Aragon is the chapel of San Martin (Lecina) at the confluence of the Choca and Vero canyons, in a spectacular enclave. It is of Roman origin and is constructed underneath a limestone shelter. It has a single rectangular nave with a semicircular apse.
