The River Vero Cultural Park itself is also an open air water museum.

Over the centuries, the inhabitants of the valley have been struggling against the natural environment and have developed inventive ways to get the most out of the water and the land.

Hence reservoirs, fountains, washing sites, bridges, weirs, aqueducts and canals are in abundance, and for the most part are still used for their original purpose. Through these constructions we can understand the origin of several economic activities, the layout of the transport networks, the settlements, certain traditions and the history of a region developed around the river.
