The River Vero Cultural Park is a unique area known for its natural and cultural value.

The Vero canyon and its adjacent ravines have close to seventy shelters which preserve paintings from the three classic prehistoric European styles (Paleolithic art, Levantine art and Schematic art).

This cultural legacy was declared UNESCO World Heritage in 1998 and forms part of the European Cultural Route CARP “Prehistoric Rock Art Trails”.

The Cave Art Centre in Colungo offers information and a range of activities (workshops, educational activities, guided tours, cultural events...) related to cave art and the societies that created it. From there you can also take guided tours of the shelters of Arpán, Mallata and Barfaluy.
