It is located in a very beautiful place, 2 kilometres outside of Buera, where according to popular tradition the Virgin appeared above one of the honeycombs, hence the name. Attributed to the Virgin are the virtues of protection from illnesses of the throat and according to tradition, the tongues of children should be anointed with olive oil from the sanctuary so that they will be talkative and learn to talk quickly. It is also an important pilgrimage centre for pilgrims from the neighbouring villages of the middle basin of the Vero, who come at the beginning of May.

Dulcis was a great collection of structures, of which the church, some arches and the cistern of the corresponding pilgrimage chamber are still preserved.

The current temple, from the 17th century, replaced the old Romanesque one. It has a single nave, with four sections, a straight wall and is covered with a lunette vault. The simplicity of the exterior contrasts with the rich decoration of the interior. Highlights include the Mudejar influenced plasterwork, which decorates the central vault, and the chapels, which have several motifs of great complexity: bows, rosettes, medallions, etc forming a collection of great beauty.

In the surroundings, you will find the the olive tree forest (“Bosque de los Olivos”), where you can enjoy the different varieties of olives the Somontano has to offer.
