Surrounding the villages of Almazorre, Bárcabo, Lecina and Betoz, exists one of the most extensive and interesting oak forests of the sierra. It is situated on the slopes of the sierras de Sevil and Asba and orientated towards the north-east. Other species, such as the holm oak and wild pine trees, are also common in the forest.
Different species of animals inhabit the thickness of the forest, avoiding contact with humans: wild boar, roe deer and the wildcat. However, it is much more simple to locate the presence of birds although, for the most part, this is usually in the form of hearing their song or to coming across a feather on the ground.
