The northern section of the River Vero Cultural Park, comprised of the municipalities of Bárcabo, Colungo, Adahuesca and Alquézar, forms part of the Sierra de Guara National Park. Its 80,739 hectares contain one of the most important natural areas in Europe thanks to the natural value of its rocky environment.

In the eastern section of the Natural Park you will find the water basin of the River Vero. The erosion of the limestone over thousands of years has given the landscape a great beauty and uniqueness. Shelters, caves and cliffs are the perfect refuge for dozens of species in danger of extinction.

Thanks to its rich ornithological diversity, the Sierra de Guara is also a designated Special Protection Area (SPA) for the conservation of wild birds.
