The urban area is centred around a street. Many of the constructions preserve the architectural characteristics of the southern area of Sobrarbe: limestone walls, stone tile roofs, semi-circular arches over the entrance doors and small windows in the walls. You can observe certain decorative elements, like coats of arms, wrought iron and wood objects, such as door knockers. In the village you will find the Sanctuary of Santa María de la Nuez (16th to 18th century), a centre of popular religious devotion for the upper basin of the Vero.
Although it is located in the most mountainous section of the Cultural Park, this location, together with Paúles de Sarsa and Arcusa, make the most of the bounties offered by the high plateau, known as the “Tierra Buxo” (land of boxwood), because of the abundant presence of boxwood.
