The shelter is situated on the right side of the Fornocal canyon. Its surroundings are rugged and very beautiful.
It contains the most important scene of the pictorial collection of the Vero and is of great relevance in Levantine art.

The large central panel, painted in red, is noteworthy for its representation of what is thought to be a spectacular scene depicting the capture of a live deer, held onto by its horns and legs by four individuals, next to another figure providing a slipknot. Surrounding this scene are another 32 characters, in several postures and attitudes, they appear to be watching the capture. On the left five human figures are shown, with a symbol and a deer.
