Under the shelter of the Sierra de Guara and as a result of harsh living conditions and a difficult terrain, several legends, myths and stories have been conceived, in which mythical creatures, witches, warriors and many other characters are the protagonists. All of this heritage has been preserved through oral transmission.
The importance of basic economic activities, linked to agriculture and farming, and the harshness of the way of life, contributed to the development of all kinds of legends and customs associated with fertility, protection and prosperity.
